Raised in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, Quinn Kahsay grew up playing soccer from the age of seven. After graduation from high school, Quinn attended Shepherd University where he was an active participant on the intramural ultimate Frisbee and soccer teams. Quinn graduated from Shepherd in 2016 with a B.S. in political science and moved to Arlington, VA to attend George Mason Law. During law school, Quinn got into competitive distance running and served as the president of Running Along the Potomac from 2017-18. Quinn graduated from George Mason with his J.D. in 2019 and commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Currently, he is serving a J.A.G. Billet.
Quinn has a young border collie (LOOK BELOW!!) who takes up most of his spare time; however, he enjoys playing violin and reading fantasy novels when time allows. Some of Quinn’s running accomplishments include racing the D.C. Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon, the Freedom Run Half Marathon, the Army 10 Miler, and completing the St. Luke’s marathon under three hours. He is currently training for the JFK 50 miler and has the goal of completing all six Abbott major marathons.
Thanks for being apart of our Thunder Squad and for inspiring us all, Quinn!
